The rules we hold ourselves to, including the ones that cost us money.
No crowning. If two or more brands on a page have an affiliate relationship with us, that page may not name a single winner. It recommends per use case. This is checked mechanically before anything publishes.
No undated facts. Every price, rate and payout time carries the date it was checked and the method used.
No manufactured urgency. We do not run countdowns, fake stock counts, or "only 3 left" copy. If an offer has a real end date we print the date.
Reversals are published, not edited away. When we change our mind about a recommendation, the change and the reason for it appear on the homepage. A desk that silently rewrites its old verdicts is asking you to trust the current one on faith.
Corrections. Found something wrong? Tell us and we will fix it and say that we did.
